Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 September 2026
These terms govern your use of handylay.app. By using the planner you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
The service
HandyLay is a free, browser-based tool for planning tile and panel layouts on floors and walls. It runs entirely in your browser: there is no account, and your designs are not stored on our servers.
Planning results are estimates
The layouts, cut plans, surface areas and material quantities produced by HandyLay are estimates derived from the dimensions and settings you enter. They do not replace measuring the actual room.
Always verify measurements on site and add a reserve for breakage, cutting waste and pattern matching before ordering material. We are not responsible for material bought, cut or installed on the basis of a plan created here.
Your content
You keep all rights to the textures and images you upload. They are processed in your browser and stored on your device, so we never receive them.
Upload only images you are entitled to use. Do not upload unlawful content or content that infringes anyone else's rights.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
- Do not embed the planner in an iframe on another site.
- Do not use automated systems to scrape or republish the site.
- Do not use the site in any way that breaks applicable law.
Intellectual property
The HandyLay name, interface and source code are protected by copyright. You may use the planner and the plans it produces for your own private or professional projects; you may not redistribute the application itself.
Advertising
The site is financed by advertising. Advertisements are supplied by third parties; their presence is not an endorsement, and we are not a party to any transaction you make with an advertiser.
Availability
The service is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time.
Because projects are stored only in your browser, clearing your browser data deletes them permanently. Export or note anything you need to keep.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or material costs arising from the use of the planner.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or the statutory rights of consumers.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. The date at the top reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
